Billie Mathews
National Trainer
Billie’s philosophy is grounded in the words shared by Madeline Hunter saying that ““Kids don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care!” When students are taught in a compassionate manner, learning is more likely to happen. As a teacher who has played an active role in educating children, she believes that students are more likely to perform well academically when they learn in an environment firmly rooted in consistency.
Teachers work hard, and Billie understands that they do not need one more thing on their “to do list”. Teachers need proven strategies that make their job easier. Time to Teach is a research-based, proven program that offers practical strategies that will bring positive returns and can be implemented immediately. Schools that implement Time to Teach experience fewer discipline referrals, more instructional time ultimately leading to student success.
Billie has had the opportunity to experience the rewards of Time to Teach as a classroom teacher implementing the strategies in her own classroom. She has demonstrated Time to Teach in leadership roles as a mentor teacher and head teacher and as a trainer of teachers. She has experienced the success of Time to Teach on multiple levels.
